This work is the published version of the author’s PhD dissertation (University of Wisconsin, Madison) which examines the role and participation of Filipino women in the Huk movement during and after World War II.

Chapter one deals with the women in the Huk movement during the war; the remaining chapters examine their activities after the war, and explore gender issues such as women leaders, love and sex during these periods.

Based on extensive interviews and research into unpublished case files.
