This is a photocopy of the official report of the Special Investigation Mission sent to the Philippines by the War Damage Corporation in mid-1945 to assess the extent of war related losses in the country.

The report provides an initial estimate of the war damage suffered in various sectors and areas: mines, government and private property, Catholic churches, and others. The team conducted as systematic a study as they could in the time allotted.

The report became an official government document, submitted to the 79th US Congress in its first session.
