Description
A reserve officer and lawyer, Gloria was teaching at La Salle College when he was ordered to active duty in 1941. Assigned to the infantry, he was made an officer in the 1st Philippine Constabulary Regiment, 2nd Regular Division, Philippine Army, and saw action in Bataan. He went on the Death March and survived the horrors of Camp O’Donnell.
In this book, Gloria describes his experiences in detail, until his release from prison camp in June 1942. It is one of the few books portraying the Filipino side of the Bataan campaign.
