Personal account of a Philippine Scout with the 91st Coast Artillery Regiment (P.S.) on Fort Frank (Carabao Island), one of the fortified islands on the mouth of Manila Bay. He participated in a raid on the Japanese in Cavite.
The author narrates his experiences and what he heard during the siege of the harbor islands, his life as a prisoner of war, his return home, where he learned of the death of his mother as a result of a Japanese raid. Domantay then joined the guerrillas in Central Luzon (the East Central Luzon Guerrilla Area under Major Lapham).
The book ends with Domantay participating in the Battle of Manila. Relatively short account of a unique life.
