Mainly written by Dr. Cesar P. Pobre and Brig. Gen. Juanito T. Rimando (ret.). Published soon after the last 50th anniversary commemorative ceremonies were concluded – basically chronological pictorial presentation of WWII in the Philippines, side by side with the 50th anniversary commemorative rites. Last portion of the book on Filipinos heroes of WWII.

Minimal text, with sections on the defense campaign, resistance movement and – bulk of the book – the liberation campaigns. Issued as a government publication commemorating the 50th anniversary of WWII.
