Sequences are not arranged chronologically: images show Santo Tomas liberated; freed prisoners of war in Bilibid Prison; fires set by the Japanese in Manila to the south of UST; fires and damage caused by Japanese artillery on UST’s buildings and houses across the street (including actual footage taken as Japanese shells were landing and internees and soldiers running for cover). &#13;

There is footage of GIs in Central Luzon advancing towards Manila; MacArthur visiting Santo Tomas; refugees fleeing Manila; pontoon bridge building and vehicles crossing; fires in Manila and firemen trying to fight them; Balintawak Beer Brewery and other scenes. &#13;
